This painting came to be after living 40 plus years on this planet. I had reached the lowest point in what I considered to be my life. After roughly 2 ½ years of counseling I was made aware of something called the “Inner Child”. At the end of those years of counseling I painted this picture. I painted this cub because the image moved me, and the circumstances leading up to that point suggested I use the gift I was born with. This painting blossomed into existence.
When the painting was completed I had to come up with a name. I came up with ‘Innocence’ at first. But something intuitively said no. Then ‘Inner Child’ dawned within my consciousness. This name was much deeper and expressed clearly why this painting was done. Like life, what appears to be the obvious, (the cub on the rock), is merely a symbol of what is hidden below, (innocence). On the deepest level of explanation, this painting is an extension of love, free from guilt, expressing our own innocence.
We are all an extension from our Source, which is Love. All symbols of life being born upon this Earth are perceived as innocent.
Innocent is defined as; without guilt, sinless; inexperienced in worldly ways.
Inner Child is who we really are before becoming conscious, accepting guilt and worldly ways. It is up to each of us to unlearn what we have learned through forgiveness to reveal this light.
